Stonewall Democrats of Western NewYork are proud to announce that our general membership has voted to endorse Assemblymember Sam Hoyt, again this year, in the 144th District.

Sam Hoyt is, simply put, Western New York's fiercest champion of LGBT equality in the NYS Assembly. Sam's noble and long history of supporting civil rights is one closely linked to the history and evolution of the Stonewall Democrats. Always, Sam has been with us. And again, we will be with Sam. Sam has worked tirelessly to support legislation New York needs passed. Whether it be the Gender Non-Discrimination Act, the Dignity for All Students Act or Marriage Equality, Sam has worked to advance the equality of LGBT New Yorkers. When these essential pieces of legislation are passed, it will be because of Sam Hoyt's hard and dedicated work, and of those legislators like him.

SDWNY is thrilled to announce our support for Sam, and we will work to ensure that we keep our fierce champion as our representative to the NYS Assembly.
